What is and is NOT Acceptable Content on Xomba...and Why. READ THIS (PoisedGuru)
Ok so.
We need to set some further guidelines now because I forgot about the Google Adsense Terms of Service which go above and beyond the Xomba ones.
But first I need to tell you why. If we do not adhere to the Google Adsense policies then a terrible thing will happen. Not only will Xomba's Adsense account be revoked, but most probably everyone on the site may be revoked. They have been known to take such harsh and drastic measures in the past. I know one user on here that has no Adsense for something like this. Anyway, if Xomba loses its Adsense account then no one here gets paid. See why it's important? If you lose your Adsense account then you won't get paid. Also very important no? That is one of the main reasons why you are all here right?
If you read anything on this, at least make it the bolded statements please
Ok first we'll start with the Xomba ones which are fairly straightforward though lengthy. I'll highlight the more common ones
Xomba.com may delete any Content that in the sole judgment of Xomba.com violates this Agreement or which may be offensive, illegal or violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of any person.
This is important because if something violates the rules and endangers the site we must take action.
Content unacceptable by Xomba.com:
- patently offensive and promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual.
- harasses or advocates harassment of another person.

- contains restricted or password only access pages or hidden pages or images (those not linked to or from another accessible page)
- furthers or promotes any criminal activity or enterprise or provides instructional information about illegal activities including, but not limited to making or buying illegal weapons, violating someone's privacy, or providing or creating computer viruses

- criminal or tortious activity, including child pornography, fraud, trafficking in obscene material, drug dealing, gambling, harassment, stalking, spamming, spimming, sending of viruses or other harmful files, copyright infringement, patent infringement, or theft of trade secrets
- advertising to, or solicitation of, any Member to buy or sell any products or services through the Services.
- covering or obscuring the banner advertisements on your personal profile page, or any Xomba.com page via HTML/CSS or any other means
- any automated use of the system
Whew, I know it's a long list to get through. But that's nothing. Here's the Google Adsense list:
Site may not include:
- Excessive profanity
- Violence, racial intolerance, or advocate against any individual, group, or organization
- Hacking/cracking content
- Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia
- Pornography, adult, or mature content

- Excessive advertising
- Any other content that promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others
- Pop-ups, pop-unders or exit windows that interfere with site navigation, obscure Google ads, change user preferences, or are for downloads. Other types of pop-ups, pop-unders, or exit windows may be allowed, provided that they do not exceed a combined total of 5 per user session
- Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages
- Deceptive or manipulative content or construction to improve your site's search engine ranking, e.g., your site's PageRank
- Incentives (monetary or point-based) to users or third-party beneficiaries for online activity including, but not limited to, clicking on ads or links, performing searches, surfing websites, reading emails, or completing surveys
- Sales or promotion of certain weapons, such as firearms, ammunition, balisongs, butterfly knives, and brass knuckles
- Sales or promotion of beer or hard alcohol/li>
- Sales or promotion of tobacco or tobacco-related products
- Sales or promotion of prescription drugsimitations of designer goods
- Sales or promotion of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods
Essentially think of the site as PG-13. One use of Fuck is ok as long as it is an expletive and not pertaining to a sexual act. Nudity isn't acceptable because that will normally get an R rating in film. Unless of course it's the backside of a man which is ok for some reason and would only rate a PG-13 rating while a woman's bare backside would rate it an R.
Some things about the MPAA rating system to help you along the way. Taken from the Wiki on the MPAA Rating system.
- A reference to drugs, such as marijuana, usually gets a movie a PG-13 rating at a minimum
- A "graphic" or "explicit" scene of illegal drug use will earn a film at least a PG-13 rating and, especially in the case of "hard drugs", even an R rating.
- If a film contains strong sexual content, it usually receives at least an R rating.
- Violence which includes bloodshed will usually receive an R rating
So I hope that helps guide you along the way as you post on Xomba. Come on! You knew there had to be SOME rules here! ;)

Perhaps...but
Our options are thus:
1) Keep them and the posts and all lose our Adsense accounts. Then there is no pay system at xomba.com.
2) Enforce Google's policies and everyone can make some money through Adsense.
Which would you choose?
Please turn to page 28 if you chose 1.
Please turn to page 35 if you chose 2.

To Elaborate
Google Adsense's TOS are not debatable. As PG points out we must all follow the rules whether you have a Google Adsense account or not.
If you read something you feel breaks the rules please use the "flag as offensive" link below all Xombytes.
This will send us an email alerting us that we need to read that Xombyte.
The 1st Amendment of the constitution only applies to the U.S. Congress and state/local governments. This is a private business.
Please feel free to ask us any questions.
We try not to censor because that's not what Xomba is about, but there are even rules we must follow. Rest assured all opinions are welcome here as long as you follow the rules above.
Thanks for understanding.
Have fun,
Nick
