Hi Everybody,

Hope everyone had a great weekend and those of you in the U.S. are ready for turkey day later this week.

I wanted to talk to you guys about writer's block and Xombyte blog suggestions today.

I found a cool site that lets readers post and vote on what blog topics they want to read about. The site is called www.skribit.com.

Try to take a minute this week and check the site out. You might uncover some interesting leads.

Now I'm not saying you'll make more money, but this could lead you to some topics that are in demand.

Keep in mind the time of the year it is as well.

Hope you guys have a Happy Thanksgiving, too!

This is going to be a short week and a long weekend for us here at my house, but I am going to aim for doing lots of writing to take advantage of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, and New Year's, since there are going to be lots of Internet searches around those days. I am also thinking about Christmas Day, when more than a few people are going to be getting new computers and going online for the first time.

Ideas for contests

I think that a contest for Christmas-related items would be nice. Perhaps a few different ones for different types of writing. Poems, stories, etc.

I say we have a whole bonanza of contests - Wet-t-Shirt, Mud Wrestling, Bikini, Jello Wrestling, Hot Dog Eating, etc. I have my bikini all ready!

Of course, I would go fiction with a Holiday Inspired Contest. They can be true, made up, inspired by true events,etc. Can be anything based around the myriad of holidays this time of the season.

Yea,"jdubhub," I'll second that! It's an excellent op, both, to write, and test.

And, about, www.skribit.com, I took a glance, and grabbed a topic. Thanksgiving and its 4 day holiday will give some more time to check it out closer.

I also vote for Holiday Fiction contest. I already have a entry ready! It would be fun to read the Christmas/Hanuklah, Quanza, New Year's fiction. Did I leave anyone out?
