Tropical Storm Fay continues to move like an old man at a Golden Corral Buffet. The National Hurricane Center is still predicting Fay to take a northwest curve over the next several hours. Local weather stations are still reporting the end of the world. Debates range from not using your generator in your house to how to properly cannibalize your neighbors if the need arises. Looking out the window I can tell you that kids are playing football in the street. There are zero leaves in the yard and the skies are gray. Checking in with our Xomba Meteorological equipment (The Gnome rain catcher) has registered almost a quarter of an inch of rain. The good news is that the fingers of the gnomes are still super glued. I found a great article that should be used as an example of superb journalistic standards. From the local Fox affiliate Can we make a drinking game out of the word "Folks"? My favorite quote so far has to be "I'll be on the roof- tie myself to the chimney- I ain't going nowhere," says King This is the Xomba (Non)Severe Weather Team keeping it real Jacksonville. Hunker

"Hunker down" was the line that most TV reporters used last go round - drove me crazy.

By the way that was one big 'ole piece of crap story!

Great Reporting

Loved the tied to the chimney part. But I think what takes the cake is the "how to properly cannibalize your neighbors if the need arises".
