posted August 21, 2008 - 1:00amWelcome to Xomba's (non)Severe weather team's ongoing coverage of tropical storm(not quite a hurricane) Fay.

It is truly a miracle that we are still able to bring you news at this hour. With catastrophic winds of 5, 10 no wait 15mph hour (not to mention gusts close to 18) and at almost a quarter of an inch rain we're just happy to still be on this earth.
Amazingly, Fay has hardly moved over the last 6 hours. Local weathermen worry that the storm may even become stronger. Therefore, making it impossible to kick a football tomorrow. The time is now 12:30am est and we are bracing for what history may call the most sensationalized story of the year.
We were lucky enough to take a 20 minute trip down to Jacksonville beaches this evening. Here are the pictures.
(These have not been altered or photoshopped, therefore they do not contain pictures of a half-naked Scarlet Johansson.)
Due to one of our team member's fears we've decided to open our doors to any and all toads and/or lizards that our caught in the storm. (In Florida we have at least 3-4 toads and lizards per square foot.)
Stay tuned ladies and gentlemen we'll have an early morning update (if the fates allow).
Tomorrow we're "hunkering down" and watching all 6 Star Wars movies (minus the pod race). Yup, that's a freaking sci-fi geek marathon.
In all seriousness, weather should actually be getting worse sometime before noon and continue through Friday morning.
By Saturday this place is going to look like a scene from Mad Max.
