posted August 21, 2008 - 1:00pmWelcome to Xomba's (non)Severe weather team's ongoing coverage of tropical storm(not quite a hurricane) Fay.

Major Tropical Storm Update 9:30am Thursday - Fay has done absolutely nothing overnight.
Winds have picked up to around 20-30mph with a little higher gusts. Locals have taken to swimming at the beach this morning to demonstrate acts of bravery.
Local news is now in their 36th hour of panic mode. With news crews patrolling the streets looking for downed tree branches and crazy yokels.
Our power did begin to flicker last night several times which prompted us to move to a Stage 2 (non)severe weather alert.
After checking our local Gnome rainfall measuring device we are closing in on half a inch.
Conditions should worsen if Fay is likely to move on shore within the next 12-24 months.
Our weather team has begun the Star Wars marathon. We are 23 minutes into Episode 1.
We'll be back with an update in a few hours.
